South African Engineered

Protect What Matters.

The Rainmaker® Modular Roof Protection System is a South African-engineered system for homes, farms, lodges and commercial buildings. Mounted along the roof ridge, it creates a protective water barrier that gradually saturates vulnerable surfaces when activated — reducing the risk of ignition from wind-driven embers and radiant heat, cooling hot roofs and rinsing rooftop solar panels.

§ Three Roles — One System

One roof system. Three jobs.

Rainmaker® is first and foremost a wildfire protection system — and the same ridge-mounted network earns its place year-round by cooling hot roofs and rinsing rooftop solar panels.

B.01

Wildfire Protection

Continuous roof saturation helps defend buildings against ember attack and radiant heat during wildfire emergencies.

B.02

Roof Temperature Reduction

During extreme heat, the system cools roof surfaces through evaporative cooling, helping reduce heat transfer into the building and improving indoor comfort.

B.03

Solar Panel Cleaning

The same sprinkler system rinses dust and debris from rooftop solar panels, improving efficiency and reducing maintenance.

§ 01 — Why Rainmaker

A new category of fire defence.

Rainmaker does not fight fire. It prevents ignition — quietly, reliably and when you decide. Four principles guide every installation.

01

Modular Design

One system, scaled to your property. Add or reconfigure modules as roofline, risk profile or property size changes.

02

Wildfire Protection

Overlapping spray patterns saturate the roof and protection zone during a wildfire event — cooling surfaces and denying embers a place to ignite.

03

Easy to Install

Purpose-built for straightforward installation — as a DIY project or by a registered plumber — on existing rooflines and exterior walls, without structural changes.

04

Designed for South Africa

Engineered locally for South African fire seasons and the full range of roof typologies — from Cape Dutch to modern steel.

§ 02 — How It Works

Activate. Distribute. Saturate.

Three coordinated stages. Once activated, the network gradually saturates the roof and protection zone — reaching effective saturation in approximately 10 minutes.

01

Activate

Open the supply valve or start the water pump. The Rainmaker network pressurises and the sprinkler heads begin to spray.

02

Distribute

Water flows through the modular Rainmaker® network, feeding every 6-metre section along the roof ridge, exterior wall or perimeter zone with balanced pressure.

03

Saturate

Overlapping spray patterns gradually wet the roof and surrounding protection zone. Under normal operating conditions, effective saturation is reached in approximately 10 minutes.

§ 03 — Sprinkler Technology

Engineered droplets. Consistent distribution.

Rainmaker® incorporates high-performance, pressure-regulated flexible sprinkler technology engineered to deliver consistent water distribution across the protected area. Each head is tuned to produce large, rain-like droplets that maximise roof saturation while resisting wind drift and mist formation.

Pressure regulation keeps every head in the network — from the first module to the last — operating within the same narrow performance band, so coverage stays predictable across the full length of the ridge.

§ 05 — The Rainmaker Advantage

Engineered outcomes, not just components.

Eight engineering principles define every Rainmaker® installation — performance, reliability and coverage measured in the field, not on a datasheet.

A.01

Engineered Water Distribution

Specially selected water distribution technology delivers consistent, even coverage across the protected area to help achieve uniform roof saturation.

Technical note

Distribution components are matched to the modular pipe network so flow and pressure remain balanced along the full run.

A.02

Large-Droplet Protection

Engineered to produce larger water droplets that remain effective in outdoor conditions and maximise the volume of water reaching the roof surface.

Technical note

Larger droplets resist wind drift and evaporation, so more of every litre lands where it is needed — on the roof and in the protection zone.

A.03

Wide Coverage

Each sprinkler provides an approximate 12-metre radius of coverage. Overlapping spray patterns create continuous protection across the roof.

Technical note

Two heads per 6 m module deliver a continuous overlapping curtain — no dry zones along the ridge line.

A.04

Low Pressure Operation

Designed to operate from a minimum water pressure of 2 bar, suiting a wide range of residential, commercial and agricultural water supplies.

Technical note

Where supply falls below 2 bar an appropriately sized inline pressure pump is recommended. Municipal, borehole, tank, dam and reservoir sources are all compatible.

A.05

Modular Design

Rainmaker's modular 6-metre sections connect seamlessly, allowing systems to expand as required for different roof sizes and building types.

Technical note

Modules couple end-to-end along the ridge. Add sections as the roofline grows — the same components serve a cottage or a warehouse.

A.06

UV & Outdoor Durable

All components are selected for long-term outdoor performance in harsh South African conditions.

Technical note

UV-stabilised PVC pipework and mounting brackets are specified for sustained sun, wind and thermal-cycling exposure.

A.07

DIY Friendly

Designed for straightforward DIY installation with a QR code linking to the latest installation video and guide. Professional installation by a registered plumber is also an option.

Technical note

Push-fit couplings, epoxy-bonded PVC brackets and clip-on modules keep the installation sequence simple and repeatable.

A.08

Future Ready

QR-code documentation lets installation instructions and product information be updated over time, so customers always have access to the latest guidance.

Technical note

Guides, videos and revisions are served online — no printed manual to go out of date, no flash drive to lose.
