Rainmaker was founded with one clear objective: to develop an effective, practical and accessible wildfire roof protection system designed specifically for South African conditions.

After witnessing the devastating impact of wildfires on homes, farms, businesses and communities, the team set out to create a modular solution that combines sound engineering, straightforward installation and dependable performance.

Every Rainmaker system is developed with a focus on simplicity, reliability and long-term durability.

Rainmaker® combines practical engineering with practical roof protection — wildfire defence, roof cooling and solar panel cleaning. Designed, developed and supported by its founders, our mission is to help property owners protect what they've spent years building.

Fred Berrangé

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Fred is the developer of the Rainmaker® Modular Roof Protection System. Drawing on decades of practical engineering, product development and field experience, he developed a modular system that is reliable, scalable and simple to install. Fred is responsible for technical design, testing, product development and ongoing engineering support, ensuring every Rainmaker® installation performs as intended when it matters most.
