§ Commercial

Scale is a module count, not a redesign.

Warehouses, factories and commercial estates protected by grouping Rainmaker® modules into independently controlled zones.

Rainmaker® roof protection installed on a commercial property
§ Overview

Zoned protection across large roof areas.

Large commercial roofs are long runs with high water demand. Rainmaker® Commercial handles that by dividing the roof into zones — each an independently valved group of standard 6-metre modules — so flow stays within the capability of the site supply.

The geometry never changes: two flexible heads per module, 12-metre spray radius each, modules joined end-to-end. Coverage grows by adding modules and zones, which keeps the bill of materials, the hydraulics and the installation method predictable at any building size.

§ Why facilities specify it

Protects stock and continuity

A wetted roof envelope defends inventory, plant and the trading days that follow an incident.

Zoned to the water supply

Zones are activated individually, matching demand to available flow instead of oversizing the supply.

Roof or exterior wall

Modules mount along the ridge or on external walls where the exposure sits.

Heat load reduction

Wetting a large steel roof in summer lowers surface temperature and the cooling load beneath it.

§ How it works

Activate the zones under threat.

01

Assess exposure

Site procedure identifies which elevations face the fire front.

02

Open those zones

Zone valves are opened individually, so flow is committed where it is needed.

03

Envelope saturation

Each zone's modules saturate their section of roof and the surrounding protection band.

04

Extend or stand down

Open further zones as conditions shift, then close valves once the threat clears.

Standard modules grouped into independently valved zones along a long commercial ridge, with continuous overlap maintained inside each zone.

§ Key features

Specified for facilities teams.

Independent zone control

Each zone is separately valved for staged activation across a large roof.

Standard module throughout

One part number scales the whole building — simple stores and spares.

Wall-mount option

Exposed elevations and boundary walls can carry their own module runs.

Pressure-regulated network

Uniform droplet size and radius from the first module to the last on long runs.

Plumber-installable

Conventional plumbing skills and tools — no proprietary trade certification.

§ Technical specifications

Commercial configuration data.

Zone count, module count and total flow are determined per building and confirmed in the Preliminary Protection Design Report.

  • Zoning is the primary engineering tool: it keeps flow within the available supply instead of oversizing the connection.
  • One module part number across the building simplifies facilities stores and spares holding.
